7th Century England brought to life through this mystical novel
I just joined BookLikes and am pleased to post this as my first review. I just finished Against A Darkening Sky and was sorry to see the story end. It is well written with fascinating characters. The author clearly did a lot of research about life in the 7th century. I've read about recent archeological finds in England from around this period, so I thought it was interesting to be transported to that time and place via this book. The pace is sustained through the novel and the conflicts and love story kept me reading well past my bedtime. I recommend it.
